Up to 25 horses can be accommodated in our spacious, airy stables at any time.
All horses can see each other to maintain the herd instinct. Having contact with other horses makes stabling less stressful for nervous horses and encourages them to relax.
Our horses prefer living in one of our 24 spacious yards. The natural instinct of constant movement and the chance for even a small trot or canter in the 20m x 10m fenced enclosures is taken for granted and prevents muscle stiffness as well as quietens nervous horses down.
Open shelters also give them the opportunity to get out of the sun or rain.
Our roundyard with a 25m diameter is a great place to work horses indoors. As we specialise on breaking-in and re-educating horses, it provides an enclosed, quiet environment to work horses.
To avoid horses getting bored in their daily routine on the track, we also do dressage and jumping-exercises to teach horses to control their movements which benefits them in races as well as helping with behaviour issues.
On rainy winter days it also gives them the opportunity to have a free run and roll after work.
The pool gives the horses a chance to cool down after work as well as improve fitness without stressing joints.
We specialise in barrier education and re-education. Understanding and patience with horses has never failed to help horses with issues. For more information, also see "Barrier education"
To break the daily routine and avoid boredom of the horses, we take them to the local racetrack in Strathalbyn. 1650m sand or grass tracks are also a great location for jump-outs and trials.
Our 1800m sand and crushed limestone training track on the property is great for daily slow and fast work. It is wide enough for 3 horses to work next to each other and they also love to go for a trot on the grassy track on the outside of it.
The bullring and schooling facilities are situated at the Strathalbyn racetrack. Horses love a challenge, so jumping doesn't only improve their fitness and coordination, but also freshens them up.
113 acres of luscious farmland are perfect for a nice break. We are welcoming horses on a spell to enjoy freedom, but at the same time being fed and checked 3 times daily.
To ensure excellent quality of life of all racehorses, we also provide smaller paddocks for horses to have a relaxing roll, nibble on the grass and free run after work.
Located in the countryside, we have plenty of great tracks around the farm to go for a walk or ride out. Every horse loves a change of scenery for a quiet day out or an exciting freshen up ride.
